Meet Kim
Managing BrokerKim Penny is the Managing Broker for Legacy Properties West Sotheby's International Realty in Durango, CO. She grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, and attended the University of Nebraska on an athletic scholarship. Kim and her husband Jon moved to Durango in 2002 and she has been a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 2005. In 2008, Kim was named one of Real Estate Agent Magazine's 30 Under 30, and in 2009 was among the top 5 producers in the Durango area. Kim and her husband moved back to Lawrence in 2010 to assist family. During that time, she acquired her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and worked as a Financial Advisor. In addition to working at a Financial Planning Firm, she continued to own and manage residential and commercial investment properties in the Southwest Colorado area.
In 2013, Kim and Jon welcomed twin girls and moved back to Durango to raise their family. She joined the Legacy Properties West - Sotheby's International Realty office upon her return.

Kim has attained years of investment and sales experience and has represented clients on a variety of transactions, ranging from primary residence and investment property to development and commercial property sales. In her free time, Kim enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and spending time outside with her family.
